When a London business needs a branding agency
London is probably the most contested brand market in Europe. A fintech near Old Street, a private members' club in Mayfair, a law firm in the City and a developer selling apartments in Nine Elms are all fighting for attention that is already being bought by global names with far larger budgets. In that environment a nice logo changes very little. What changes things is a sharp position – a clear answer to why this company, for whom, and why now – expressed consistently everywhere a customer meets you.
Most of our London enquiries arrive at one of four moments: a funding round that demands a more credible face, a merger or change of name, a move from founder-led sales to a real marketing function, or a brand that has simply been outgrown. If investors, candidates or buyers are judging you by an identity made in a hurry years ago, that is the moment to bring in a branding agency rather than commission another one-off design job.
What we deliver: from brand strategy to a full identity system
Every engagement is scoped around concrete deliverables. On the strategic side that means audience and competitor analysis, positioning, a brand proposition, values and – where needed – naming, with candidate names screened for obvious conflicts before you take them to your trade mark adviser. On the verbal side we write tone of voice principles, a tagline, core messages and sample copy.
The visual identity covers the logo in all its versions, colour palette with screen and print values, typography, layout grid, iconography, image direction and a key visual. It is documented in brand guidelines that an in-house team or another supplier can follow without calling us. Rollout comes next: website design and build, social media templates, pitch decks, stationery, print collateral and signage artwork. If you only need the mark itself, our logo design for London companies page explains that narrower service.
Our branding process, step by step
We begin with a discovery workshop: two or three structured video sessions with founders, leadership and, ideally, a few customers. From that we write the positioning – a short document everyone signs before design starts. Then come two or three creative routes, each shown in real contexts such as a website header, an app icon, a Tube poster or a sales deck, rather than floating on a white page.
Once a route is chosen we develop it into the full identity system, test it against awkward real-world cases, write the guidelines and prepare the rollout files. A brand identity typically takes about 25 working days (five weeks) from kick-off to final guidelines. A full rebrand that includes a new website usually runs about eight weeks, depending on how many pages, languages and integrations the site needs.
How much does a branding agency in London cost?
As a guide, logo design starts from £800 (about €950) excluding VAT; brand strategy, full identity systems and rebrands are quoted individually as a fixed fee. The honest answer is that it depends on scope, and anyone quoting before understanding the scope is guessing. We work for a fixed fee, agreed up front and quoted in GBP or EUR, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
The main drivers of the fee are whether strategy and naming are included, how many sub-brands or product lines the system must cover, the depth of the guidelines, the number of rollout items and whether a website is part of the project. Because our studio is based in continental Europe rather than central London, our overheads are lower, and the fee is typically more cost-efficient than a comparable UK agency offering the same seniority. You can judge the standard of work from our branding projects.
Can a branding agency work remotely with a London business?
Yes – and we would rather be plain about how. G2 Collective is based in Poland, inside the EU. We do not have a London office and we will not pretend to be round the corner from yours. We are one hour ahead of UK time, which in practice means our working day overlaps almost entirely with yours, and workshops, reviews and sign-offs happen during normal London office hours.
Workshops run on video with shared whiteboards, presentations are recorded so absent stakeholders can catch up, and feedback is collected in one place rather than scattered across email threads. The designers who present to you are the senior people doing the work, not account handlers relaying messages. When a project genuinely needs it – a leadership workshop, a site visit for signage – an in-person session in London can be arranged as part of the scope.
Who we are a good fit for in London
Our portfolio leans towards property development and real estate, architecture and interiors, technology and SaaS start-ups, professional services, hospitality and premium consumer products. That maps naturally onto London: residential schemes that need a name, an identity, CGIs and a sales website from one team; start-ups preparing for a raise; advisory firms repositioning after a partner change; restaurants and retail concepts opening a second or third site.
We are a good fit if you want senior attention, a fixed fee and a system built to be used, and less of a fit if you need an agency team sitting in your office every week. Beyond branding we also handle web development, 3D visualisation, photography and campaigns – see the full list of services. If that sounds right, book a call: tell us where the brand is today and we will reply with a scoped proposal and a timeline.
