Logo Design Manchester
We design logos and brand identities for Manchester businesses – from digital and tech companies around MediaCity and the Northern Quarter to property developers reshaping the city centre. Distinctive, practical marks built to work on screens, signage and everything in between. Below you will find what the work includes, how it runs week by week, how the fee is set and an honest account of working with a studio outside the UK.

What should Manchester remember you for?
Manchester has one of the fastest-growing business scenes in the UK, and with it a lot of brands that look alike. Agencies and software firms cluster in the Northern Quarter and Ancoats, law and finance fill Spinningfields, broadcasters and production companies sit across the water at MediaCity, and cranes keep adding residential towers to the skyline. Each of those clusters has its own visual habits, and new companies tend to copy them without noticing.
The city also has a strong sense of itself, which tempts many brands towards the same shorthand: the worker bee, the mill, the industrial typeface. Civic pride is a fine thing, but a symbol shared with hundreds of other organisations cannot distinguish yours. The logo design Manchester deserves keeps the confidence and the directness the city is known for, and finds an idea that belongs to your business alone.
From first workshop to final files
We start every project by mapping your competitors, your audience and the reasons customers choose you. The outcome is a short, usable brand platform – positioning, personality and tone of voice – that gives the design work a clear brief and gives your team a way to judge it objectively.
Only then do we design. You see two or three well-argued directions instead of a wall of options, each tested on real applications: app icon, shopfront, van livery, LinkedIn banner. You pick one, we refine it across agreed feedback rounds, write the guidelines and package the files. A typical project takes about 25 working days (five weeks) from kick-off to handover, with review dates fixed in advance so your diary is not ambushed.
What is included in the identity
Many of our clients come to us at a moment of change: a new funding round, a second location, a move from local to national. We design with that growth in mind. The logo system includes a primary mark, a horizontal lockup, a monochrome version and small-size variants for favicons and social avatars, all drawn originally so the mark can be protected as a trade mark rather than challenged as a lookalike.
The wider brand identity covers a colour palette with print and screen values, a type system that holds together across sub-brands, graphic elements and image direction. Everything is handed over with brand guidelines and editable source files, so your printer, your web developer and your next marketing hire all work from the same rules. Extensions such as stationery, social media templates, vehicle graphics, signage and web design are available, and examples sit among our branding projects.
Is it worth choosing a logo designer outside Manchester?
It is a fair question, so here are the facts. G2 Collective is based in Poland, within the EU, and we do not have an office in Manchester or anywhere else in the UK. We will not pop round for a coffee. What we offer instead is time-zone convenience – we are one hour ahead of UK time – and a way of working that was built for distance rather than adapted to it.
That means video workshops with a clear agenda, shared boards where work in progress is visible and open to comment, and quick feedback loops instead of long silences. There are no junior hand-offs: the designers who present the work are the ones who make it, and they are on every call. Many clients find this more direct than a local agency relationship, where the person in the meeting is rarely the person doing the drawing.
How much should a Manchester business pay for a logo?
As a guide, logo design projects start from £800 (about €950) excluding VAT; a complete visual identity system with brand guidelines is quoted individually. Beyond that starting point, a number without a scope is of little use, so every project is quoted against a written brief. The principle is simple: you receive a fixed fee in GBP or EUR, agreed before any work starts, with the deliverables, the timeline and the feedback rounds listed. If the brief does not change, neither does the invoice. That predictability matters when the budget has to be approved by partners or investors.
The fee reflects the number of creative routes, whether you need help with naming, how detailed the guidelines must be and how many applications we design beyond the logo itself. A studio in Poland carries lower overheads than a comparable logo design agency in a UK city centre, and we have no sales or account layers to fund, so you are typically paying for senior design time and very little else.
Who we work well with in Manchester
Our best projects in the region tend to be with digital and technology companies, e-commerce and consumer brands, professional services firms that have outgrown a homemade logo, hospitality operators opening a second or third site, and developers bringing new residential or workspace schemes to market. What they share is ambition beyond the local market and a wish for an identity that still looks right when the company is several times its current size.
If that sounds familiar, browse our logo collection to get a feel for the range, then book a call. We will talk through where the business is going, suggest a sensible scope and follow up with a fixed quote and dates. If a local freelancer would suit you better – for a quick refresh, say – we will tell you so. Everything else we offer is listed under services.
