Branding Agency Edinburgh
As a branding agency Edinburgh companies work with remotely, G2 Collective brings an outside European perspective to a city with a very strong sense of itself. We create brand strategy, names, visual identity systems and rebrands for Scottish businesses, with senior designers leading every conversation and a fixed fee agreed before the first workshop.

Why an Edinburgh business might need a branding agency
Edinburgh is a small capital with an outsized economy. It is one of the UK's most important centres for asset management, banking and insurance, and a growing fintech community has formed around that heritage. The universities feed a respected data science and artificial intelligence scene. The festivals and the Old Town bring visitors from every continent, supporting hotels, restaurants and attractions, while Scottish food and drink – whisky and gin above all – sells a carefully crafted idea of Scotland to the world.
What links these sectors is that the audience is rarely local. An investment boutique in the New Town, a software company at Quartermile or a distillery with a shop in Leith is judged alongside international competitors, often by people who have never visited. When your brand has to win trust abroad, when tartan-and-thistle clichés are holding you back, or when a spin-out needs to look fundable, working with a branding agency becomes a commercial decision rather than a cosmetic one.
What our brand identity work includes
Strategy comes first: research, positioning, a brand proposition and values, summarised in a document short enough to be read. If you need a name – for a new fund, a product, a venue or a spirit – we run a naming process that generates options, filters them for meaning and pronunciation across markets, and presents a shortlist with reasoning. Verbal identity then sets the tone of voice, tagline and core messages in language that suits your audience.
The visual identity system comprises the logo and its variants, colour, typography, grid, iconography, illustration or photography direction and a key visual. Brand guidelines explain how it all fits together, and you receive the complete set of master files. For rollout we can design and build the website, create social media templates, investor or sales decks, stationery, printed literature, labels and packaging artwork, and signage. Our logo collection shows the variety of marks we have created across industries.
Can a branding agency outside Scotland work with an Edinburgh company?
We think so, as long as nobody is misled. G2 Collective is based in Poland, in the EU. We have no office in Edinburgh, Glasgow or London, and we do not claim local roots. What we offer instead is distance in the useful sense: we see your category without the assumptions that come from being part of it. We are one hour ahead of UK time, so collaboration happens in ordinary working hours.
In practice the project runs through video workshops, shared online boards and scheduled review calls, each led by the senior designers doing the work. Presentations are recorded for stakeholders who cannot attend. Files and comments sit in one shared space. Where a project needs us in the room – to experience a venue, tour a distillery or facilitate a larger workshop – in-person sessions in Edinburgh are possible and are planned into the proposal.
Step by step: how a branding project unfolds
The discovery workshop establishes where the business is going, who it must persuade and what stands in the way. We follow it with desk research and then a written positioning, which you sign off. Only then do designers start on creative routes – two or three of them, deliberately different in character, each presented in realistic applications: a fund factsheet, a bottle label, a booking website, a conference stand or festival poster.
After you select a route we refine it, build the full identity system and test it on difficult formats, from tiny app icons to large-format print. Guidelines and rollout assets complete the job. A brand identity generally takes about 25 working days (five weeks). A complete rebrand that includes a new website typically takes about eight weeks, a little longer if the site is multilingual or involves e-commerce. We agree key dates at the outset so your launch can be planned with confidence.
How much does a branding agency in Edinburgh cost?
As a guide, logo design starts from £800 (about €950) excluding VAT; brand strategy, full identity systems and rebrands are quoted individually as a fixed fee. There is no single answer, and we would be suspicious of any agency that gave one without asking questions. Our approach is a fixed fee, agreed up front and quoted in GBP or EUR according to your preference. The proposal itemises deliverables and review rounds.
Several things shape the fee: whether research, strategy and naming are needed; how many products, funds, venues or sub-brands the identity has to accommodate; how comprehensive the guidelines must be; the amount of rollout design; and whether we are also designing and developing a website. Because our studio operates from continental Europe, the fee is typically more cost-efficient than that of a comparable UK agency, while the people on your project remain senior. Review our branding projects and judge the standard for yourself.
Edinburgh sectors we understand – and the next step
We are well suited to financial and professional services firms that want to appear modern without losing gravitas, technology and data companies that need to explain something complicated, hospitality and tourism businesses, food and drink producers building an export brand, and property developers and architects. Our portfolio includes identity work for a winery, technology start-ups, residential developments and architecture practices, so these conversations start from experience rather than theory.
The best projects come from clients who are ready to make decisions, want honest advice and see the brand as a long-term asset. If that describes you, book a call. We will listen first, ask about ambitions and constraints, and then send a proposal with scope, fixed fee and timeline.
